You asked for more — What’s happening in Kenya

You asked, and we listened. As the summer unfolds, things slow down a bit here at the Foundation office so our staff and board can take a little well-deserved R&R. But our commitment to keeping you informed, inspired, and connected to KGSA remains strong.

In our recent supporter survey, many of you said you’d love to learn more about what’s happening in Kenya and across Africa, especially when it comes to women and girls. So, starting today, we’re kicking off a four-week email series featuring timely, relevant stories from the region — with context from us on why it matters.

First up: a powerful piece from PBS NewsHour👉How USAID Cuts Are Impacting the Fight Against HIV in Kenya
The story highlights how funding cuts to U.S. foreign aid are already reducing access to HIV testing and treatment across Kenya, especially for young women and adolescent girls.

At KGSA, we know how fragile access to care can be. That’s why we’ve invested in on-site health services like our new school nurse, mental health counseling, and reproductive health education. These aren’t extras; they’re lifelines.
When systems break down, girls are too often the first to suffer and the last to be seen. But not at KGSA. Not with you in our corner.

Thanks for showing up, staying curious, and continuing to care deeply about this work. We’re so glad you’re here. We look forward to sharing more stories with you this summer.
