In honor of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, we’re highlighting a few KGSA women who inspire us.
MEET MERCY SANGITA
KGSA Class of 2024

What’s a lesson you learned at KGSA that you’ll remember all your life?
I have been a leader since 9th grade. I was appointed the class secretary immediately after settling in high school and served for all four years. Being close to the teachers enabled me to develop good leadership skills that I will use in almost everything that I do in my life. I am very good at listening to whatever people need and taking time to analyze the situation to end up with a fair and satisfying response.
What are you currently doing now that you’ve graduated?
I am interning as the KGSA librarian before I join college to become a flight attendant. I am excited to start this associate’s degree because it has been my dream since I was young. I am also attending a leadership course called “kuna nuru” for 6 months and will graduate in June.
