MEET KHADIJA
KGSA Social Media Manager
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favourite part of working as the social media manager is travelling and visiting new places. I capture photos and videos whenever the girls are participating in sports events and during field trips. I get to accompany the girls and the chaperone teacher, which is fun and also a learning process for me. I have visited so many places in Nairobi, all made possible by KGSA.
I am also in charge of the journalism club. Having students who take wonderful pictures and make nice designs makes me feel good. The feeling of seeing a student become good at whatever she wants to do in the future at this level is just so inspiring.
Who is your favorite sports team?
I have two favourite sports teams. One is the KGSA soccer school team because I have witnessed their amazing transformation since I started working here. They represent the school and Kibera so well in tournaments and competitions. I also love Arsenal, which plays in the English premier league and is currently position 2 in the competition. I am a die-hard fan. Whenever I am not at work on the weekends, you will definitely find me watching an Arsenal game.
