We have some BIG news to share!
During my and the Board of Directors’ visits to Kenya this past year, it was clear that improving the girls’ learning space was the next big project we needed to tackle. Working with the school staff and Design Tone, which built the dormitory, plans were developed to demolish the building bought by KGSA in 2017 and replace it with improved modern classrooms where girls can thrive for years to come.
Thanks to some very generous supporters, we’ve already raised a lot of our BIG, BOLD $150,000 goal to construct a three-story building with six classrooms, a computer lab, and a science lab. I was honored to be in Kenya for the groundbreaking ceremony.
We need your support to raise the final $25,000 by June 1st to ensure we can equip this beautiful, comfortable learning space with all the tools the girls and teachers need to succeed. More desks, projectors, whiteboards, maps, posters and of course better wifi and a back-up generator.
You can donate today with a credit card or ACH payment, mail us a check, or contribute via your charitable giving account or employer giving program. Any donation amount is appreciated. Together we can BUILD better classrooms where the girls can excel in STEM and the humanities.
From all of us at KGSA, thank you for your continuing partnership to educate, inspire, and empower girls in Kibera. You are making a profound difference.
