Hello KGSA Family,
I’m writing from the Aspen Institute, where I’m attending a leadership conference on international affairs.
It’s been a powerful reminder that in challenging times—for our nation and the world—pausing for rest, reflection, and reset is good for the soul.
During my time here, I also had the chance to hike at Maroon Bells, where the golden aspens were a breathtaking reminder of resilience, beauty, and renewal as we step into a new season.
These moments of reset not only rejuvenate me personally but also strengthen my leadership at the KGSA Foundation, ensuring I can continue guiding our mission with clarity and hope.
In the words of Maya Angelou:“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”

May this fall be a season of light, strength, and renewal for you.
With gratitude,
Katy
P.S. Resetting in the mountains reminds me why we do this work: so every KGSA girl can climb her own mountain of opportunity.
